So I decided to postpone the last blog post since it’s taking me a bit to put together all these pieces and I want it to be as complete as it can be before I bring it out .
Today I want to talk about our crazy, but beautiful minds.
I truly believe that you have to be slightly crazy to think you can achieve the unthinkable.
Some people that come to the top my mind:
Johnny Depp. Stephen King. Elon Musk. Bob Marley. Nikola Tesla. Napoleon Hill, And of course John Nash Jr.
I know it’s not just me that feels this way, but the people who seem to have or have had a slightly distorted or different way of thinking of the world are the ones who have made a difference or some type of huge achievement in their life. Of course this isn’t always the case but there definitely seems to be a connection.
I just finished re-watching the movie A Beautiful Mind. Played wonderfully by Russel Crowe. A true classic. If you’ve never watched it.. – catch up!
Based on the true story of John Nash Jr. RIP 2015. This man was honored with a Nobel prize for his contributions in mathematics. Thank God for people like him because someone has to solve these crazy equations.
John Nash suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. However even though going through this mental illness he still managed to overcome it and gain respect, and make great contributions after being mocked by peers. Moreover, years later he managed to gain not only one Nobel prize in 1994 but also the Abel Prize in 2015.
So is there a fine line between genius and crazy? I like to think so. The mind works in weird ways and some of us are wired differently. So I say.. embrace your weirdness, your talents and your way of seeing things.
All you have to do is rub the dirt off , and the gold will shine through.
